What to expect and complete

Once we receive your referral, it will be personally reviewed by Dr Copson. This triage process is typically completed within five business days. Our team will then be in touch to arrange your appointment.

Before your consultation, you’ll receive a link to complete a pre-appointment questionnaire. It’s important that this is filled out in full, as it allows Dr Copson to review your history, reports and concerns ahead of time—ensuring your appointment is as thorough and productive as possible. If you have any relevant investigation results, such as ultrasound or MRI reports, please email them to admin@drseancopson.com.au prior to your visit.

On the day of your appointment, please arrive 10 minutes early and check in at the front desk (you’ll find us through the pink front door). You’ll be welcomed by our receptionist and shown to the waiting area before being called in to see Dr Copson.

Outpatient Procedure

If you are scheduled for an outpatient procedure such as colposcopy or IUD (Mirena) insertion we encourage you to take paracetamol and ibuprofen, if you have taken these in the past with no issues, one hour before the appointment to minimise any discomfort.

Supportive Care

A female clinic nurse will be present to support you during all examinations and procedures. You're welcome to bring a friend or family member—many patients find it helpful to have someone there for support or to help remember questions and next steps

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient. A cancellation fee may apply if sufficient notice is not given

Fees

  • Payment Policy: Full payment is required on the day of your appointment. We do not offer bulk billing or handle Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claims.
  • Payment Methods: EFTPOS only (no cash or American Express).
  • Medicare Rebates: We submit claims electronically—rebates arrive in 1–2 business days.

Parking & Access

Parking is available on the street or in the underground car park via the McCourt Street entrance.

  • From street parking: enter via the McCourt Street entrance and take the lift (just left of the concierge desk) to Level 3.
  • From underground parking: take the lifts directly to Level 3.

Directions to the Suite

 

  • Exit the lifts and turn right.
  • Take the first left.
  • Suite 317 will be on your right.
